Mexican Fan Palms can be used to add a southwestern, tropical flare to just about any landscape. They can be used formally, planted in straight lines along roads, driveways or sidewalks. Informal planting of varying heights, mixed with dwarf palm varieties, will create a natural feeling landscape design. Trunks can be skinned for a unique "cigar cut" effect that lends itself to a more formal appearance.
