Referred to as ‘the little gold gem’ of the citrus family, the Kumquat is an excitingly tangy fruit that is incredibly rich with a sweet flesh and tart flesh. A popular Asian fruit, it stands out among other winter fruits for its bold flavors. They are small fruit-bearing trees that are slow-growing, shruby and compact. There are a few Kumquat varieties to choose from, but we’ve taken the guesswork out and only carry the best varieties for our area.

The absolute best varieties to grow in the Southwest are Nagami and Meiwas Kumquat
