Podocarpus (Podocarpus henkelii)

The thick, dense foliage of the Podocarpus is rare for evergreens that thrive in the West. The thick abundance of wide, dagger-shaped leaves covering the entire length of the trunk create an extremely dense screen. Because it's an evergreen, you'll never have to worry about annual leaf drops or losing your privacy screen - these trees require very little maintenance to keep their glorious foliage.

Podocarpus can fill many practical applications in your landscape, they can be trimmed down to fit into tighter forms or left alone to reach any height you need. The blue-green foliage contrasts well with gravel, lawns, desert trees, and other features commonly seen in landscapes.
