Bearss Lime or otherwise known as Persian Lime is typically the larger of the limes you will see available at farmers markets and shopping centers from Southern California through the rest of the United States. These limes are said to have originated in Thermal, CA in 1977 as budwood and have since been grown and harvest for decades. These larger limes have many uses from grlling, garnishing, baking, soups, cocktails and juicing just to name a few. These trees are easy to grow and offer more landscape uses than just for fruit alone. Grown from Coastal Southern California throughout the Southwest Deserts of Arizona these trees can be used as a focal point with their attractive foliage and fragrant blooms, planted in rows to provide thick privacy and security or even planted in pots on patios making these perfect for any size back yard.

Pro Tip: Limes you buy at the store are often picked before they are ready. Let you limes mature on the tree for best flavor!
