There are several fig varieties to choose from, but only a small number are recommended as excellent for our area. The good news is that we’ve taken the guesswork out and just carry the best varieties for our area – Brown Turkey Fig, Mission Fig, and Kadota Fig. These are an excellent source of dietary fiber and potassium whether you enjoy dry fig fruit or like eating them picked fresh from the tree. Of course, homegrown will always taste better and is the safest way to eat, especially if you choose to grow organically. Taste the difference!
Besides bearing healthy fruit to eat, these deciduous fruit trees feature bright green foliage that in the summer, can add a tropical look to your landscape.
