Aphids

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR

These pests spread quickly and can cover the entire surface of the plant if left untreated. In addition to harming the plant sucking sap, aphids also attract ants and foster growth of mold. Aphids emerge during early spring and fall. They can be found on the underside of leaves and on flower buds.

SIGN OF INFESTATION

Aphids cause honeydew on your plant’s leaves, which you may find ants harvesting. They also leave behind a black sooty mold.

How to Treat

  1. Prevention – Aphids can be prevented with the application of a systemic insecticide at the onset of growing season. Keep an eye on the newest growth as well as any flower buds to quickly spot any infestations.
  2. Fertilizer – To help your plant and trees bounce back from the stress of infestation, be sure to apply Super Charged Moon Juice and Moon Microboost to give them all the supplements and micronutrients they need.
  3. Treatment – Combine a topical treatment with a systemic drench to get both a quick knockdown and lasting protection.
