Grubs

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR

Grubs are larval insects that damage plants by feeding on their roots. This underground damage affects the overall health of the plant and can be fatal if left untreated. They can be found year-round living in the soil surrounding your trees and plants.

SIGN OF INFESTATION

Grubs will cause the roots of your plant to become thin and unstable. This can be detrimental to the plant health as the take in the necessary nutrients for the plant to survive.

How to Treat

  1. Prevention – Grub infestations can be difficult to notice until it’s too late to save the plant. The best way to prevent them in the first place is through the application of a systemic insecticide at the onset of growing season.
  2. Fertilizer – It is vital to encourage your trees to re-grow their roots after a grub infestation! Stimulate this growth with a combination of Super Charged Moon Juice and Moon Dust to give your plant its strength back.
  3. Treatment – Since grubs hide below the surface of the soil, the most effective treatment is to drench the root zone with a systemic insecticide.
