Iron Chlorosis

WHAT IS IRON CHLOROSIS

Plants that are lacking in iron will develop a distinctive deficiency known as chlorosis. Fortunately, this condition can be reversed through proper supplements and fertilizers. If left untreated, the lack of iron can lead to stunted leaves that die and drop early, affecting flower and fruit production.

SIGN OF IRON CHLOROSIS

Iron chlorosis will primarily affect new growth. While the veins on the leaves of your plant may remain green, the rest of the surface of the leaf will yellow. This condition will also cause stunted growth.

How to Treat

  1. Watering – Over-watering can leach iron and other nutrients out of the soil—ask a Nursery Professional for a copy of our recommended watering guides for each season.
  2. Treatment – Replenish iron and other nutrients with applications of Moon Green, Moon Microboost, and Super Charged Moon Juice. The combination of these products will provide all the nutrients the plant needs to regain its green color, while amending the soil and stimulating roots to make the nutrient uptake as quick and efficient as possible.
