Mealybugs

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR

Mealybugs are quick spreading insects that damage plants by feeding on sap, causing yellow and stunted growth. They emerge during the spring and can be found on stems between leaves and fruits.

SIGN OF INFESTATION

Mealybugs are a messy pest that leave honeydew on your plants, which leads to the growth of sooty mold. They also leave behind a white, waxy substance on their feeding sites.

How to Treat

  1. Prevention – An application of systemic insecticide at the onset of growing season can protect your plants from mealybugs.
  2. Fertilizer – Mealybugs damage their plant hosts by extracting sugars and nutrients from the leaves and stems. Give your plant its strength back with a combination of Super Charged Moon Juice and Moon Dust.
  3. Treatment – Combine a topical treatment with a systemic drench to get both a quick knockdown and lasting protection.
