Junipers are a diverse group of evergreen conifers in the Juniperus genus, valued for their hardiness, versatility, and year-round color. They come in a wide range of forms, including low-growing ground covers, upright shrubs, and tall, tree-like varieties. With foliage that ranges from rich green to silvery blue, junipers add texture and visual interest to landscapes throughout all seasons. Many varieties produce small, berry-like cones that are often bluish in color and attract birds and wildlife. Because of their adaptability, junipers are frequently used in rock gardens, foundation plantings, erosion control, and as privacy screens or windbreaks.

One of junipers’ greatest strengths is their ability to thrive in challenging conditions. They tolerate poor soil, drought, and extreme temperatures, making them ideal for low-maintenance or water-wise gardens. Junipers also require little pruning and are generally resistant to pests and diseases. Their rugged nature makes them suitable for both residential and commercial landscaping projects, especially in areas where other plants may struggle. Whether used for structure, ground coverage, or ornamental value, junipers are a durable and attractive choice for a wide variety of landscape designs.

"I have two topiary Junipers in planters that I got from Moon Valley Nursery, and I love them. They add a classy look to my home and are very easy to trim and shape. "
