Blue Point Juniper is an excellent choice for anyone looking to add a fast-growing privacy screen or windbreak! Their densely broad, pyramidal, columnar growth habit also makes them a favorite for stately lawns and we also love to use clipped topiary forms as a formal accent for any driveway entrance! Their botanical name is Juniperus chinensis 'Blue Point' and they're prized for their evergreen blue-green foliage that looks good all year long and contrasts nicely with surrounding plants. If you're looking for a tree that maintains its natural form well and requires very little pruning, you'll want to add this Blue Point Juniper to your landscape!

These Junipers love to grow in a spot with full sun to partial shade exposure. Beside their good looks, homeowners and landscapers alike also love their low maintenance and low to moderate watering needs once they've been established. For maximum health and hardiness, we recommend feeding them with our Moon Valley fertilizers that are specially designed for treating Houston's dense soil with the nutrients and vitamins essential for growing a beautiful landscape.

Blue Point Junipers are conifers, so during the winter some people love to decorate with the fresh greenery, in fact, they can also be used as an effective front lawn Christmas tree for winter lighting! Use them for borders, near walls, topiary, these are versatile in any landscape; they can even be effective in erosion control.

Revamp any size landscape with the most beautiful trees and plants in Texas! Moon Valley Nurseries carries the finest quality trees and plants and we have them available in a wide range of sizes, from starters to mature trees. Increase property value and curb appeal, ask us how!

Every time a plant is watered, the soil should be thoroughly saturated to a depth of at least 2 to 3 feet and at least as wide as a tree well. Very slow and deep watering is always recommended. During periods of extreme heat, we advise at least 1 additional time per week of watering for all varieties. For periods of heavy rain (1/2” or more) adjust accordingly by possibly skipping a watering session for that time.

I have a hedge of these juniper trees along my back fence and I love them. They have a nice blue color and do not get too big. Moon Valley Nursery was very good at planting them.
