Best Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions
What we promise.
If you find the same tree, in stock, for a lower price at a licensed retail nursery in our market, show us the proof at the time of purchase and Moon Valley Nurseries will beat that price by $1.
Cost floor.
Moon Valley Nurseries will not sell below its own cost. If beating the competitor’s verified price by $1 would price the tree below Moon Valley’s cost, Moon Valley will match the competitor’s price instead of beating it.
Trees only.
This guarantee covers trees. It does not cover palms, shrubs, cacti, bedding or other plants, hardgoods, yard décor, or any other merchandise.
The same tree.
The competitor’s tree must be the same species or variety and comparable to the Moon Valley Nurseries tree in height, trunk caliper, canopy width, container or box size, and overall health and grade. Moon Valley Nurseries determines comparability in its reasonable discretion and may require manager approval and supporting documentation, including a copy of the competitor’s ad or written quote and photographs of the competing tree.
In stock.
Both trees must be in stock and available for immediate purchase at the time you request the beat. We do not guarantee special-order or out-of-stock inventory.
Retail pricing only.
We beat a licensed retail nursery’s price. We do not match or beat wholesale, contractor, membership or loyalty, employee, auction, clearance, closeout, liquidation, going-out-of-business, damaged- or distressed-plant, or online-marketplace pricing, or Moon Valley Nurseries’ own Tree Care Services pricing.
Total-price comparison; cash-and-carry only.
The guarantee covers the tree’s cash-and-carry price, where you take possession of the tree at the nursery. Price comparisons are based on the total price of comparable trees and services; Moon Valley Nurseries’ price may include free professional delivery and planting where applicable. The guarantee excludes delivery and planting (“DNP”) services and related fees, as well as taxes and financing charges.
Bona-fide price; proof.
The competing price must be a current, bona-fide price actually available to retail customers, verifiable through a current, dated advertisement or written quote from a licensed retail nursery competitor in our market. It must be presented at the time of purchase and does not apply to prior purchases. Moon Valley Nurseries may decline any price it reasonably believes is erroneous, not bona fide, or the result of a pricing or typographical error.
Limits.
Limit one beat per tree and one per transaction, per customer. Quantities may be limited. The guarantee is not valid on purchases for resale and may not be combined with any other offer, discount, or coupon.
Our discretion.
Moon Valley Nurseries verifies competitor pricing, determines comparability in its reasonable discretion, corrects pricing and typographical errors, and may modify, suspend, or discontinue this guarantee at any time without notice. No cash value; no rain checks. Void where prohibited.
Governing terms.
