Baja Ruellia grows very well in full to part sun and performs wonderfully in desert landscapes. With regular water cycle, they will be lush and full of foliage during all the warm months. They might get a little sparse in cold winters.
Attractive light colored stems with an interesting branching habit. Grown naturally as a rounded shrub they have the most bloom production. Peak flowering season is late spring early summer. Prune in early spring if needed to control size. Plant in well-drained soil, Baja Ruellia is very drought tolerant once established.
"My wife wanted these againse my better judgment, as she tends to kill every plant shes owned. What brings me here is to my surprise, these thingsare thriving. I made sure we follow MVNs instructions for watering and fertilizing and i havent had and issues. Ive been so impressed, we have use MVN for larger project! Highly recommend. These guys and gals know what they are doing. "
