Euonymus have been used in the Valley for decades in green landscapes as a hedge or as an anchor plant in areas protected from afternoon sun and shade. Green Euonymus acclimate to full sun if planted during the fall and early spring. This plant is very well suited for trimming formally or being allowed to grow large and makes a great addition to tropical and subtropical landscapes. The Euonymus japonica is very cold hardy and prefers well drained soil and regular deep waterings.
