Yellow Hibiscus

We love to use this showy Yellow Hibiscus as foundation planting along houses and fences lines, where the large and bold tropical foliage brings a much-needed burst of color into any dull landscape. From southern China, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis'Yellow' can grow to be a medium-sized shrub with glossy green foliage and its long blooming cycle makes it a favorite for use in a mixed border or as a solid screen and hedge. We like to use them to block unsightly side yard fences in style and they're also a great choice for planting against stucco walls.

This Tropical Hibiscus loves to grow in our local climate. They are heat tolerant and prefer to grow in a spot that receives plenty of full sun exposure. Once established, give them low to moderate water. We recommend annual early spring pruning, which will allow them to rejuvenate early in the season.
