Bartlett Pear

The Bartlett Pear may very well be the quintessential pear flavor! After all, this is the yellow pear with the smooth and juicy white flesh with a smooth texture that is ideal for eating straight from the tree, canning, and in preserves. The Pyrus communis 'Bartlett' variety is a household favorite and has been for over 200 years. It is easy to see why these trees and fruits are so well-loved, they have an aromatic and sweet flavor, and contain an excellent source of vitamin B, vitamin C, copper mineral, fiber, and potassium. To make things even greater is that these trees begin to bear fruit while young and there have been some that continue to bear fruit for over 100 years!
