Plant a few Dynamite Crape Myrtle trees in your landscape and bask in the profusion of bright red flower clusters in the summer! Dynamite Crape Myrtles can bring plenty of year-round color to landscapes when not much else is blooming. This small-sized deciduous tree is a beauty that also happens to be perfect for smaller yards or tighter spaces.

The show doesn't stop at the huge clusters of blooms this red-flowering tree produces. Its bright green foliage develops an orange-red fall color, and when paired with its smooth, mottled light cinnamon-brown bark, you have one of the best trees with fall color!

We like to plant a few Dynamite Crape Myrtle trees along a fence line, creating a beautiful privacy hedge screen. Plant them as specimens or streetside trees to add instant curb appeal. Whether you are planting these trees for privacy, their clusters of amazing pink flowers in the summer, or bright fall tree colors, the Dynamite Red Crape Myrtle is sure to please!

Anyone that has ever grown Crape Myrtle trees knows just how easy they are to care for. These water-wise trees tolerate urban pollution allowing them to add vibrant color to any metropolitan area.

Once established, they require little to moderate watering, and are prized for their hardiness and mildew resistance. Plant Dynamite Crape Myrtle trees in locations that get plenty of full sun exposure and they will thrive and reward your yard with vibrant summer color and fall foliage!

Due to the slower growth rate of Crape Myrtle trees, we recommend planting mature specimens to bring instant color and curb appeal to your home. These trees benefit from monthly applications of fertilizer such as our Moon Dust from March to September. The extra nutrients will keep your Dynamite Crape Myrtles happy and healthy, help push more growth for a lush canopy and myriad of fall foliage, as well as promote the best coat of stunning red flowers!

If you are looking for a showy tree with a long blooming season, the Dynamite Crape Myrtle is it! They can fit in well with all kinds of garden styles, from Cottage to Mediterranean and Rustic!

They make the perfect companion to plants such as Agapanthus, Indian Hawthorn, Liriope, and many more plants! With our professional landscape design consultation, it is easy to create the perfect landscape with the best trees and plants on earth! Ask us how!

Every time a plant is watered, the soil should be thoroughly saturated to a depth of at least 2 to 3 feet and at least as wide as a tree well. Very slow and deep watering is always recommended. During periods of extreme heat, we advise at least 1 additional time per week of watering for all varieties. For periods of heavy rain (1/2” or more) adjust accordingly by possibly skipping a watering session for that time.
