Nothing is better than peeling and eating an orange straight from the source. Homeowners all over Southern California are enjoying growing their very own orange trees and the seedless Navel Orange is a favorite. Sometimes called a Washington Navel, these trees are slower growing and considered to be dwarf to semi dwarf sized trees. This makes them perfect for planting anywhere in your landscape and even in containers on patios and even indoors. Recognizable by the navel like bellybutton that will form on the underneath of the fruit, these are a delicious and healthy snack everyone should have in their gardens or landscape.

Navel Orange trees bloom in early spring to late winter, with their abundant citrus aromoa filling the air all around. These blooms will then set and began to turn into little green fruits. After a hanging and ripening period of a few months, the fruit is then ready to harvest in early fall. You know when your fruit is ready when it easily pulls from the tree and is brilliant bright orange color.

Moon Valley Nurseries has been growing all of our own citrus for decades and have developed custom root stock that is guaranteed to produce excellent tasting fruit and plentiful harvest. Rootstock for citrus trees is extremely important as they can be grafted with nearly anything and many growers will use inferior rootstocks so the trees will grow faster. Moon Valley Nurseries takes no short cuts! We only grow trees from our most premium specimens so you are always guaranteed to get the best tasting fruit.

"I bought two different orange trees, the navel is super sweet and tasty. It doesn't produce as much as my other tree, but it's an AZ Sweet Orange. That tree pushes tons of fruit out. I love the smell of the flowers on both trees in the late winter - early spring time. I planted these on the side of the house by two windows to our living room. We open the house up when they bloom and it makes the whole house smell sooo good. "

"I already got oranges! I purchased a 48 spec tree this February from Moon Valley Nurseries and it's fruiting like crazy. We've pulled a few and they are sweet and seedless. They are easy to peel and the fruit taste great. The crew planted these in a few hours and did a good cleanup. "
