Coral Aloe
Aloe striata
Coral Aloe is given its name by the unique coloring the leaves and the flowers have in the later winter and early spring. These coral red blooms contrast beautifully with the grey-green large thick succulent leaves of this aloe. The large stalks that grow from the center are where the blooms will appear and can be cut back after the blooming cycle has ended. These particular succulents are extremely hardy handling temperatures as cold as 20 degrees as well as being planted in full sun.
Originating from South Africa this succulent grows from sea level to over 7300 feet making it perfect for planting from Southern California, Nevada, and Arizona. These succulents should be planted in well-drained soil and can be planted in full sun to part shade depending on your landscape uses. These are a very water-wise plant as well as fire-wise once they are established and require little care. Moon Valley Nurseries has been growing succulents for over 25 years. Stop into any of our locations today and allow one of our expertly trained nursery pros to help you select the best plants for your landscape goals.
